Day-05-Arnhem

Sunday - Arnhem
Fog, really heavy. Cruising along, couldn't see a thing. Apparently the driver could. We arrived at Arnhem and the driver took a wrong turn. Had to back out about 1km. Went another couple of k's and tried to tie up beside another cruise ship, but didn't fit. Moved down to the next one, but didn't fit their either. I assume the captains all had a chat and decided that if one sailed a little early and two others moved a bit we could fit at the wharf. Much shuffling of boats and we tied up. We had a lesson in strudel making in the morning, then off by bus to Nijmegen for a relaxing walking tour. Studied ancient buildings and watched the locals watching the tourists. The sun came out after the fog lifted and it was quite nice if you kept out of the shade. The locals were all out soaking up the sun, that wasn't all they were soaking up either. Our balcony sunroom was hot when we got back and we opened it up and enjoyed the warm and a glass or two. The bar ran out of dry ginger so 'cocktail of the day' was in order before dinner. Dined with a very nice Canadian couple and retired to bed earlyish. No photo editing and slept through our sailing.
